With reports surfacing that Bayer will have to pay hundreds of millions to settle cases over serious side effects from its Yaz and Yasmin drugs, the company was hit with more bad news this month: the FDA is now ordering additional warnings on the popular birth control drugs.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on April 10th that it would require an additional safety warning on all drugs like Yaz which contain the chemical drospirenone, as the hormone has been associated with increased blood clot risks.
